CHECK MOTOR ROTATION (Three-Phase Machines Only)

With the grinder cylinder in place and the hopper lid closed, check the rotation before making a permanent electrical connection by first pushing the MIX-GRIND START switch and then pushing the STOP switch (Fig. 4). The mixing arm and worm should both rotate counterclockwise, when viewed from the machine's front.

If the mixing arm and worm rotate clockwise, correct the rotation using the following procedure:

DISCONNECT THE ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY and interchange any two of the incoming power supply leads. Reconnect the power supply and push the MIX-GRIND START switch to verify that both the worm and the mixer arm rotate counterclockwise as viewed from the front of the machine.

MG2032, MG1532 specifications

The Hobart MG1532 and MG2032 are exceptional meat grinders that cater to the diverse needs of foodservice operations, from delis to large-scale production kitchens. Boasting robust construction and thoughtful engineering, these machines exemplify durability and performance in commercial food preparation.

Starting with the MG1532, this model features a powerful 1.5-horsepower motor that delivers exceptional grinding capability. Designed for efficiency, it can process up to 32 pounds of meat per minute, making it ideal for establishments with high-volume requirements. Its 32-size grinding plate allows for the creation of a variety of meat textures, catering to different culinary applications—from coarse ground beef for burgers to fine sausage meat.

The MG2032 takes performance a step further with its 2-horsepower motor, providing even greater output and efficiency. With a capacity to grind up to 42 pounds of meat per minute, this model is suitable for larger operations that require consistent and quick meat processing. Both models are engineered with stainless steel construction, ensuring durability and ease of cleaning, which is crucial for maintaining hygiene standards in foodservice settings.

A key feature of the Hobart MG series is the innovative Feed-Forward design, which utilizes a unique screw design to help push meat more efficiently into the grinder. This technology minimizes the risk of blockages and maximizes throughput, facilitating uninterrupted processing even during peak hours. Additionally, both models are equipped with a removable hopper and a stainless steel grinding head, allowing for easy disassembly and thorough cleaning after use.

Safety is a top priority, and Hobart has integrated several features to ensure a secure operating environment. These include thermal overload protection to prevent overheating and a protective safety switch that ensures the machine cannot be operated unless assembled correctly.

The MG1532 and MG2032 also come with an array of optional attachments and accessories, including different plate sizes for varied grind textures and sausage making funnels, providing versatility to chefs and processors alike. The intuitive design and advanced technologies present in these grinders exemplify Hobart's commitment to quality, ensuring reliability and performance for years to come. Whether for small-scale production or high-volume meat processing, the Hobart MG1532 and MG2032 stand out as industry-leading choices.
