Component video output

An indirect representation of sound by numbers. During record- ing, the sound is measured at dis- crete intervals (44, 100 times a second for CD audio) by an ana- log-to-digital converter, generating a stream of numbers. Sub-audio channel which is deliv- ered separately from main-audio channel. This audio channel is used as an alternate in bilingual broad- casting.
