IMPORTANT

Ensure all components, fasteners and thumbscrews are securely in place after any maintenance or cleaning is done to the equipment.

A. Cleaning Instructions

WARNING

1.HOSHIZAKI recommends cleaning this unit at least once a year. (See the "CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS" on the icemaker). More frequent cleaning, however, may be required in some existing water conditions.

2.To prevent injury to individuals and damage to the icemaker/ice bin, do not use ammonia type cleaners.

3.Always wear liquid-proof gloves to prevent the cleaning and sanitizing solutions from coming into contact with skin.

1.Cleaning Procedure

1)Clean and sanitize the ice bin/icemaker (see the cleaning instructions on the icemaker) as conditions require.

2)Remove all ice from the bin.

3)Disconnect electrical power to the icemaker.

4)Scrub the inside of the bin, the snout assembly and the sliding door assembly using a nylon scouring pad, brushes and cleaning solution, such as 5 oz. of Hoshizaki "Scale Away" or "LIME-A-WAY" (Economics Laboratories, Inc.) diluted in one gallon of water. See Fig. 5.

5)Rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water.

Note: In areas where higher levels of chlorine are used in the water, chlorine staining can occur on stainless steel components. This is evidenced by orange, rust- colored staining. These areas must be cleaned regularly to avoid corrosion of the materials. Clean these areas using a non-abrasive cleaner such as Bon Ami. (Charcoal filtration can be added to the icemaker to reduce chlorine levels and the possibility of chlorine staining.)

B-1300SS, B-1150SS, B-1500SS, B-1650SS specifications

Hoshizaki is a well-known brand in the commercial refrigeration industry, and their line of ice makers, including the B-1650SS, B-1300SS, B-1150SS, and B-1500SS models, showcases outstanding performance, reliability, and advanced technology. Each model is designed to cater to different ice production needs, ensuring that businesses can find the right fit for their requirements.

The Hoshizaki B-1650SS is a high-capacity storage bin that can accommodate large amounts of ice, making it perfect for high-demand environments like busy restaurants and bars. With a storage capability of up to 1,650 pounds, it is equipped with a durable stainless steel exterior that enhances its longevity and resistance to corrosion. Its ergonomic design features, such as the easy-to-use access lid, facilitate quick and convenient ice retrieval, ensuring a seamless workflow even during peak hours.

Next, the B-1300SS model offers slightly less capacity with a maximum storage of 1,300 pounds. This model is popular among mid-sized operations that require a steady supply of ice but don’t need the extreme capacity of the B-1650SS. The B-1300SS also boasts superior insulation technology that helps maintain ice quality while minimizing melt, resulting in reduced waste and lower operational costs.

For businesses with smaller ice volume requirements, the Hoshizaki B-1150SS provides an excellent alternative. With a storage capability of 1,150 pounds, this model still retains the same high-quality stainless steel construction and user-friendly design expected from Hoshizaki. Its compact dimensions make it suitable for tight spaces without compromising on performance.

Finally, the B-1500SS model strikes a balance between capacity and usability, storing up to 1,500 pounds of ice. It features advanced technologies like an energy-efficient design that reduces energy consumption while maintaining optimal ice production. This model is equipped with innovative ice sensing technology, which ensures that the ice production process is efficient and meets the specific demands of the operation.

All four models are designed with easy maintenance in mind, featuring removable baffle systems and cleaning mechanisms that keep the ice clean and safe for consumption. Additionally, they incorporate Hoshizaki's renowned reliability, ensuring that businesses can depend on a consistent ice supply, which is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction.

In essence, Hoshizaki's B-1650SS, B-1300SS, B-1150SS, and B-1500SS ice storage bins cater to a range of operational needs while upholding the brand's commitment to quality, efficiency, and innovation in the refrigeration industry.
