Water inlet

￿Water in the machine must not be used as drinking water.

The machine must be connected to the water supply in accordance with local and national regulations.

The water supply must meet or surpass all applicable tap water codes.

High iron content can lead to rust formation in the appliance and on the items washed.

If the chloride content in the water supply is above 100mg/l, the risk of corrosion is greatly increased.

The washer is constructed so it may be connected to a water supply without an extra non-return valve, unless required by code.

Water in certain regions shows precipitations. In this case the machine must only be used with a water softener unit.

The water pressure (flow rate) must be a minimum of 7.25 psi.

If the water pressure (flow rate) is below 29 psi, the filling time is automatically extended.

The max. permitted static pressure is 145 psi.

If the water pressure is not in the range of 7.25 to 145 psi the "Fill/Drain" indicator may come on and the fault code "F2E" may show in the display. Please contact the Miele Service Department.

The machine is supplied to be connected to a standard cold or hot water supply at a maximum temperature of 60 °C.

A water valve with 3/4" male hose thread is to be provided on site. It should be easily accessible so the water supply can be turned off when the machine is not in use.

The inlet hose is 1.7 m long, with a 2 cm female hose thread. A 1.5 m extension hose is available (flexible metal hose, 2.03 psi pressure). The water inlet filters in the threads must not be removed.

￿The inlet hose must not be shortened or damaged in any way (see illustration).

See also the installation diagram supplied.
