Cleaning and care

Stainless steel

The ceramic and stainless steel hob cleaner is suitable for cleaning stainless steel surfaces (see "Optional accessories").

To help prevent resoiling, we recommend a stainless steel conditioner (see "Optional accessories").

Apply sparingly with a soft cloth.

Do not use a stainless steel cleaning agent on printed surfaces. This would rub off the print. These areas should be only cleaned with an E-Cloth or with a solution of warm water and a little washing-up liquid applied with a soft sponge.

Rack and lava rock container

Wash the rack and lava rock container after every use in hot water with a little washing-up liquid. If the rack is heavily soiled it should be soaked first and then any soiling can be removed using a soft brush.

If the lava rock container is heavily soiled a non-abrasive stainless steel spiral pad can be used together with a little stainless steel cleaning agent. Leave to dry thoroughly after cleaning them.

Do not use conditioning agents for stainless steel in the lava rock container.

Heating elements

Use a scouring sponge to clean any residues left on the heating elements.

Lava rocks

Clean the lava rocks regularly.

Soak them in a suitable container in hot water with a little washing-up liquid, then swirl them around in the water several times. Pour away the dirty water, and rinse 2 or 3 times in clean water. Lay the rocks out to dry on a suitable towel.

Washing lava rocks removes the outer used layer. The speed with which the lava rocks wear down will depend on how often they are used and for how long.

If the lava rocks in the container are reduced by half, they should be replenished.

These models are part of Miele's acclaimed lineup of kitchen appliances known for their commitment to quality, innovation, and design.

One standout feature of both cooktops is their advanced induction technology. Induction cooking uses electromagnetic energy to directly heat pots and pans, offering faster cooking times and precise temperature control. The Miele CS1322 and CS1312 come with multiple cooking zones that cater to various pot sizes, providing versatility for different cooking tasks. With a powerful booster function, users can quickly achieve high heat for boiling, while the simmer function allows for delicate cooking methods like melting chocolate or simmering sauces. The intuitive touch controls enable easy adjustments to temperature settings and cooking times, making it user-friendly.

Another notable feature is the SmartSelect function that allows users to set the desired temperature for each cooking zone with a simple swipe. Additionally, these models are equipped with a safety switch-off feature that automatically turns off the cooktop after a set period, providing peace of mind for users who may forget to turn off their appliances.

Both cooktops feature a sleek, glass-ceramic surface that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also easy to clean. Spills can be wiped away effortlessly, ensuring that maintenance remains hassle-free. Furthermore, the design incorporates a seamless trim, allowing for a flush installation that enhances the overall look of the kitchen space.

Miele emphasizes energy efficiency in their products, and the CS1322 and CS1312 are no exceptions. Induction cooking is known for its lower energy consumption compared to traditional gas or electric cooktops, making these models a more sustainable choice for eco-conscious consumers.

In summary, the Miele CS1322 and CS1312 induction cooktops are exemplary choices for anyone seeking quality and performance in their kitchen. With features like advanced induction technology, precise controls, easy cleaning, and energy efficiency, they embody Miele's commitment to enhancing the cooking experience for both novice cooks and experienced chefs alike.
