Never pick up a flaming pan..Jnstead:

2.Smother the fire with a tightly fitting pan lid_ baking soda or a foam or halon type extinguisher.

OVEN FIRE

1.Close oven door and turn controls off.

2.If fire continues, throw baking soda on the fire, or use a foam or halon type extinguisher.
