Approx. Cooking Time—25 min. Makes 6 to 8 Servings

1 lb. ground chuck

1/2 cup dry bread crumbs 1/8 teaspoon pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons chili powder

2 tablespoons dry minced onions

1egg

2tablespoons catsup

112 cup instant rice

1 can (151A oz.) kidney beans (undrained)

1 can (16 oz.) tomatoes, chopped and undrained

1 tablespoon chili powder

In large mixing bowl, place meat, bread crumbs, pepper, salt, chili powder, onion, egg and catsup. Mix well and form into 12 balls. Arrange balls in a circle in 2-qt. casserole. Set aside.

In small mixing bowl place rice, beans, tomatoes and chili powder. Mix well and pour in center of casserole and over meatballs. Cover and microwave at Auto Cook code 4. Rotate 1/4 turn when oven signals and time remaining appears on display.

Chicken Teriyaki

Makes 4 Servings

114 cup soy sauce 1/3 cup honey 1/3 cup sherry

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 whole chicken (about 3 lb.)

In 2-cup glass measure, place soy sauce, honey and sherry. Stir until blended. Add cornstarch; mix well. Microwave at High (10) for 2 to 2 Y2 minutes, stirring every minute until thickened. Tie chicken legs and place on trivet in 2-quart oblong glass baking dish, breast side up. Brush with hdf of sauce (reserve for later use). Cover with two pieces of overlapped plastic wrap.* Microwave on Auto Cook code 4. Men oven signals and time remaining appears on display, apply remaining sauce, re-cover and continue cooking.

1-1/4 cups milk (1 soup can full) 3/4 cup instant rice

1 can (4 oz.) mushrooms, stems and pieces

1 pkg. (llA oz.) dry onion soup mix

1 cutup chicken (about 3 lb.)

In small mixing bowl mix soup and milk; reserve 1/2 cup of the mixture. Blend remaining soup mixture, rice, mushrooms and half of the onion soup mix. Pour into a 2-quart oblong glass baking dish.

Place chicken pieces on rice mixture, arranging with meatiest pieces to outside of dish. Pour reserved soup mixture over chicken and sprinkle with remaining soup mix. Cover with plastic wrap, no vent. Microwave at Auto Cook code 4, rotate 1/4 turn when oven signals and time remaining appears on display.
