The NSF Symbol
A dishwasher and/or dishwasher cycle that has the NSF symbol has been certified by the National Sanitation Foundation to meet very strict requirements of time and temperature to ensure sanitization. These requirements are explained in ANSI/NSF 184, Residential Dish- washers. Certified residential dishwashers are not intended for licensed food establish- ments.
Your Thermador dishwasher is NSF Certified. The wash cycles that are NSF Certified are Heavy Wash, Normal Wash, and Light Wash. When these cycles are complete, the “Sani- tized” light on your dishwasher control panel will illuminate. However, if your household water supply is too hot, your dishwasher’s heating time may be reduced, and the light may not illuminate.
