Both baskets have tops that can be folded up to accomodate large or oddly-shaped items. However, your silverware will receive a more thorough cleaning if you load the silverware baskets with the tops down and use a load pattern similar to the one suggested by Figure 14.

Adding Dishwasher

Detergent and Rinse Aid

For thoroughly clean dishes, use the correct type and amount of detergent. Use only detergents specifically designed for dishwashers. Do not use hand dishwashing products, as they may cause excessive suds and possibly damage your Bosch dishwasher. Do not use detergents that contain a drying additive.

A rinse aid provides the best drying results, reduces water spotting, and rinses the internal parts of the dishwasher. Always use a rinse aid, and use only liquid rinse aid in your

The Flexible Silverware Basket

This basket is designed for

maximum versatility. The basket splits along its length, resulting in two halves that may be placed in a variety of positions in the lower rack, greatly increasing the lower rack’s loading versatility.

To split the Flexible Silverware Basket:

1.Grasp the basket as shown in Figure 15, and slide the two halves in opposite directions, as shown in Figure 15.

Bosch dishwasher.

The Detergent and Rinse Aid Dispenser is located on the inside of the dishwasher door (see Figure 1). The detergent chamber has lines that measure dishwashing detergent to 15 milliliters (ml) and 25 ml, as shown in Figure 18. 45 ml of detergent will completely fill the detergent chamber.

1.Open the detergent dispenser cover by pressing the blue release tab in the direction shown by the arrow in Figure 19.
