HOW TO MAINTAIN THE AUTOMATIC ICE MAKER

Ice Maker

● When using for the first time

Cleaning

● When not used for more than one week

Ice tray and water supply line can be washed.

Be sure to check the followings before starting the operation.

● Water supply container

・Water is filled in it.

・The container is set properly as specified.

● Ice case

・If there remains ice, remove it.

Go to the next step after checking them.

Put a clean towel on the bottom of the

1 Ice Case.

That’s because the towel can absorb water during the process of the Ice Maker Cleaning.

Water which doesn't contain chlorine may easily cause slime and/ or fur compared with tap water. Wash the Water Supply Container regularly to prevent bacteria from breeding when such water is used.

●Remove the seal from the lid and wash it with a soft wash sponge.

Place towel and others under the line to prevent malfunction.

Push the“ICE MAKER”button and hold it

2 for more than 5 seconds after closing all the doors and turning on the display.

Release the button when“QUICK”/“NORMAL”/“OFF” indicator lamps flash and the buzzer sounds.“CLEANING” will start.

・The indicator lamp will flash and the buzzer will sound for about 3 minutes.

・“CLEANING”can’t be interrupted.

・Opening any door of the refrigerator during the“CLEANING” may cause malfunction. Do not open/close any door until“Ice Maker Cleaning”finishes.

・Alarm will sound even after the Door Alarm is set as off.

3 The buzzer will stop and the indicator lamp will be turned off in about 3 minutes. After that, remove water in the Ice case together with the towel and

wipe the case.

(Wipe up water from the case before removing it.)

There is no problem with using water remaining in the water supply container, if any.

Pull the tab of the water filter with

2 fingers and remove it from the case.
