dn TRACK/DISC SHUFFLE (SHF)

When the Shuffle button is pressed, the tracks on the disc will be played in a random, shuffled order (“SHF” will appear on the display panel and “TRK” will flash). The Track Select button cu will also select tracks in the shuffled order instead of the normal progression. When all tracks on the disc have been played in shuffled order, the next disc will be selected in normal order and its tracks played in shuffled order. The Track Shuffle mode will be canceled by pressing the Shuffle button again (“SHF” will disappear from the display panel and “TRK” will stop flashing) or by activating the Repeat dmor Scan dofunctions.

When the Shuffle button is pressed and held longer than 2 seconds, both the discs and the tracks will be played in a random, shuffled order (“SHF” will appear on the display panel and “DISC” will flash). After all tracks on the disc have been played, the changer will select a new disc in shuffled order and play its tracks in shuffled order. The Disc Shuffle mode will be canceled by pressing the Shuffle button again (“SHF” will disappear from the display panel and “DISC” will stop flashing) or by activating the Repeat dm or Scan do functions.

When the Scan button is pressed, the first 10 seconds of each track on the disc will be played in order (“SCAN” will appear on the display panel and the track number will flash). When a desired track is reached, press the Scan button again and play of that track will continue (“SCAN” will disappear from the display panel and the track number will stop flashing). The Track Scan mode will also be canceled by activating the Disc Select cr & cs, Track Select ct, Repeat dm, or Shuffle dnfunctions.

When a desired disc is reached, press the Scan button again and play of the disc will continue (“SCAN” will disappear from the display panel and the disc number will stop flashing). The Disc Scan mode will also be canceled by activating the Disc Select cr & cs, Track Select ct, Repeat dm, or Shuffle dn functions.

CD CHANGER ERROR CODES

If a problem should develop while operating the CD changer, the following error codes may appear on the display panel.

EJ: IndicatesthatthereisnomagazineloadedintheCDchanger.

no_d: Indicates that there are no discs loaded in the CD magazine in the changer.

E-01, etc.: Indicates an error in the laser reading the disc in slot #1 of the magazine (E-02for disc in slot #2, etc.) Eject the magazine, remove the indicated disc and make sure it is clean, undamaged, and loaded correctly (label side up or down as per CD changer owner’s manual). Clean and re-load the disc(s) as appropriate and check for proper operation or try another disc.

E-95:Indicates a communication error between the radio and CD changer. Check the connections and cable of the changer.

E-99:Indicates excessive temperature conditions at the CD changer. The error code will go off and play will resume when the temperature at the changer returns to a normal range.
