For installation in countries other than the U K, the appliance mu st be co n- nected in accordance w ith all local gas and electrical regulations.

In t he Repu blic of I reland, i nstallers should refer to IS8 13 Domestic G as Appliances.

Ventilation Requirements

The r oom con taining the a ppliance should have an ai r s upply in a ccor- dance with BS5440: Part 2

All r ooms requ ire an o penable window, or equivalent, and some rooms will requi re a p ermanent vent as well.

For room volumes up to 5m3 an air vent of 100cm2 is required.

If the room has a door that opens directly to the outside, or the room exceeds 1 0m3 NO A IR VENT i s required.

For room vo lumes between 5m3 and 10m3 an air vent of 50cm2 is required.

If th ere a re oth er f uel b urning appliances in the same room, BS 5440: Part 2: should be consulted to determine the air vent require- ments.

This appliance m ust not be installed i n a bed sitting room of less than 20m3 or in a bathroom or shower room.

Windows and permanent vents should therefore not be blocked or removed without first consulting a compenent engineer.

LP Gas only - Do n ot i nstall th is appliance in a ro om b elow g round level. This does not preclude instal- lation into rooms which are basements with respect to one side of the building but open to ground level on the oppo- site side.

For installation into environments other than do mestic dwellings, e.g. ca ra- vans, bo ats an d s imilar - refer to the relevant s tandards on ventilation and gas supply.

Failure to install appliances cor- rectly is d angerous & could lead to prosecution.
