Caution: Any clea ning agent used i ncorrectly ma y damage the hob.

Always let the hob cool before cleaning.

Some cooki ng opera tions ge nerate a considerable amount o f grease. T his, combined with spillage, can become a hazard if allowed to a ccumulate o n the hob through lack of cl eaning. In extreme cases this may amount to mis- use of the appliance & co uld i nvali- date your guarantee.

Do not use caus tic, corrosive or abra- sive cleaning products, co arse wi re wool or any hard i mplements, as they will damage the surfaces.

All par ts of th e hob can be s afely cleaned with a cloth wru ng out in hot soapy water.

Burner caps and heads

Important: Allow bur ners to c ool before cleaning.

Caution: Hotplate bu rners can be damaged by so aking, automatic dish- washers (or dishwasher powders / liq- uids), caustic p astes, ha rd implements, coarse wire wool, and abrasive clean- ing pastes.

Clean with a moist soapy pad.

For the burners to work safely, the slots in the burner h ead w here the fl ames burn need to be kept clear of deposit. Clean with a nylon brush, rinse, & dry thoroughly.

Any brownish coloured marks o n the burners are carbon deposits or fat stains, which can be removed by gently rub- bing with a soapy pad.

Important: The b urner caps and heads must be repositioned correctly so that they sit squarely onto the hob as shown below.

This is particularly important with stain- less s teel models a s f ailure to reposi- tion th e ca ps correctl y m ay resu lt in discolouration o f th e stainless steel around the burners.
