If you need service or assistance,

we suggest you follow these five steps:

1. Before calling for

assistance...

Performance problems often result from little things you can find and fix yourself without tools of any kind.

If nothlng operates:

lIsthe power supply cord plugged into a live circuit with the proper voltage? (See Installation Instructions.)

l Have you checked your home’s main fuse or circuit breaker box?

l Have you checked the electric company for a power failure?

If the microwave oven will not run:

lIsthe oven being used as a timer? l If the Temperature Probe is being

used, is it plugged tightly into its socket?

l Is the door firmly closed and latched?

l Did you touch START?

l Did you follow the directions exactly?

If the microwave cooking times seem too long:

lIsthe electric supply to your home low or lower than normal? Your electric company can tell you if the line voltage is low.

lIsthe Cook Power at the recom- mended setting?

l Are you allowing for more time when cooking more food at one time?

If the Display shows a time counting down but the oven is not cooking:

lIs the Minute Timer in use? l Is the oven door closed

completely?

l Is the oven in standing time between QUICK DEFROSTand COOK CYCLE1(See page 23.)

If you do not hear a programmlng tone (page 8):

lIs the command correct?

lHas the tone been cancelled?

If the fan seems to be running slower than usual:

lHas the oven been stored in a cold area? The fan will run slower until the oven warms up to normal room temperature.

If there has been a power interrup- tlon, the Display will show 88:88. Reset the Clock (page 9).

If the mlcrowave oven turns off too soon or not soon enough when using the Temperature Probe:

lIs at least YJof the probe in the food?

lIsthe probe tip in the center of the food?

lIsthe probe touching bone or fat? l Have you allowed roasts to stand

for a few minutes after cooking?

l Is the probe plugged tightly into its socket?

l Is Cook Power set correctly?

l Is the probe temperature set correctly?
