Using Your Microwave Oven

Continued

Touch the Number Pad for the Cook Power you want. The Display will show what you touched. This example shows you touched Number Pad 6 for 60% of full power.

Touch START. The PROBE TEMP and COOK POWER Indicator Lights will stay on.

The Display will show “COOL” to show the food is less than 90°F. As the food cooks, the Display will show the internal temperature of the food for every 5°F increase.

For 2 of every 10 seconds, the Display will show the Cook Power you selected, if you are using a Cook Power other than HIGH.

When the probe senses the temperature you selected, the oven will shut off. “End”will show on the Display and 4 beeps will sound. (You can stop the beeping by opening the door or by touching CANCEL.) “End”will remain on the Display and a reminder tone will sound every 30 seconds (to remind you that food is left in the oven) until the door is opened or CANCEL is touched. The Display will then show the time of day.

NOTE: “ERR”will be displayed after START is touched if an incorrect temperature has been selected (less than 90°F and more than 200°F).

NOTE: Some foods are started using a timed (COOK) cycle and finished by using the tempera- ture (PROBE TEMP) cycle. You can set PROBE TEMP to follow COOK 1or 2 to avoid the need to reset the oven halfway through the cycle. PROBE TEMP can be programmed with the Temperature Probe out. The oven will pause between COOK 1or 2 and PROBE TEMP. “PROB” will show on the Display to remind you to plug in the probe.

Changing the temperature setting

When using the Temperature Probe, PROBE TEMP settings can be changed any time before touching START or during oven operation.

1. Touch PROBE TEMP.

2. Touch Number Pads for the new temperature.

3. Touch START. The oven will continue cooking to the new temperature. If the new temperature is lower than the temperature of the food, the oven will shut off.
