To start playback from the menu of DVD VIdeo

To select the preferred item, press the CURSOR or press the NUMERIC buttons.

Playback of the selected item starts.

• In case of selecting the item with pressing the NUMERIC buttons, depending on the discs, the PLAY( )(or ENTER) button should be pressed to start playback of the item.

When the selected item contains the subitems, repeat the above step until the preferred item is selected.

To stop playback and return to the menu display

Press the TITLE or MENU button on the remote control.(Which button is pressed differs depending on the discs.)

Playback is suspended and the menu display appears.

To start playback from the menu of MP3 disc

In the stop mode, press the CURSOR / buttons to select the folder and file menu.

2 Press the CURSOR / buttons to select the preferred folder or file then press the ENTER button.

Notes :

• When selecting the preferred file, playback starts from the selected file.

• When selecting the preferred folder, the file menu screen of the selected folder is displayed. In this case, repeat this step to select the preferred file in its file menu.

To play a MP3 disc with the various playback modes, select the desired playback mode.(For details, refer to “Repeating a file, folder(MP3 disc only)” on page 20 and “PLAYING TRACKS/FILES IN RANDOM ORDER(CD/MP3 disc only)” on page 21.)

Depending on the MP3 disc and the condition of recording, some of MP3 discs may not be played or may be played differently.

The DVD Videos continues to rotate while the menu display appears. When no further selections are to be played, be

sure to press the STOP( ) button repeatedly to enter the stop mode and to clear the menu display.

A TV screen may be burned out if a static picture is displayed for a long time in the stop or the pause mode, etc.. To

prevent this, set the SCREEN SAVER to ON (refer to “When selecting the SCREEN SAVER” on page 38). Then, the unit automatically activates the screen saver function if a static picture, etc. is displayed for over 5 minutes.

Pressing any button will cancel the screen saver function and return to the previous display.

When you press a button, if the corresponding operation is prohibited by the unit or the disc, appears on your TV screen.
