Getting the Most from Your AeroPress Coffee and Espresso Maker

Congratulations! As the owner of an AeroPress coffee maker, you have in your hands a simple device for making the best coffee or espresso you’ve ever tasted.

It’s easy and fun.

For a quick start, watch a video on the AeroPress product page of our web site, www.aerobie.com

Brewing a Double-Espresso, a 10 Ounce Mug of American Coffee, or a Latte:

1 Remove the plunger and

the cap from the chamber.

2 Put a filter in the cap and twist it onto the

chamber.

3 Stand the chamber on a sturdy mug.

4 Put two AeroPress scoops of fine-drip grind

coffee into the chamber.

5 Pour hot water slowly into the chamber

up to the number 2. Use 175oF (80oC) water for the very best taste.

6 Mix the water and coffee with the stirrer

for about 10 seconds.

7 Wet the rubber seal and insert the plunger

into the chamber. Gently press down about a quarter of an inch and maintain that pressure for about 20 to 30 seconds until the plunger bottoms on the coffee. Gentle pressure is the key to easy AeroPressing.

8 You've just made a double espresso.

For American coffee, top-off the mug with hot water. For a latte, top-off the mug with hot milk.

Cleanup and Storage:

Remove the cap and set it aside. Push the plunger to eject the "puck" of spent grounds into the trash (or save for compost or plant food.)

Rinse and/or brush away any grounds left on the rubber seal. The seal has already wiped your chamber clean, so no further cleanup

is needed.

Always eject the puck right after brewing and store your AeroPress with the plunger pushed all the way through or completely removed.

Storing the seal uncompressed will keep your seal air-tight for years.

Aerobie AeroPress, AeroPress specifications

The Aerobie AeroPress Coffee and Espresso Maker has revolutionized the way we brew coffee, blending simplicity with innovative technology. Designed by Alan Adler, who is also known for creating the Aerobie flying ring, the AeroPress was introduced in 2005 and has quickly become a favorite among coffee enthusiasts for its versatility and efficiency.

One of the main features of the AeroPress is its unique brewing method. The device uses pressure to push hot water through coffee grounds, resulting in a rich and flavorful brew. This method not only minimizes brewing time but also enhances the extraction of oils and flavors from the coffee, producing a cup that is smooth and full-bodied. The entire process takes just a few minutes, making it perfect for those who are short on time yet refuse to compromise on taste.

The AeroPress is incredibly user-friendly, making it accessible for both novice and experienced coffee drinkers alike. It consists of two main cylindrical chambers: the brewing chamber and the plunger. Coffee grounds are combined with hot water in the brewing chamber, and then the user simply presses down the plunger to extract the coffee. This hands-on approach allows for precise control over brewing time and pressure, enabling users to experiment with different grind sizes, water temperatures, and brewing times to perfect their cup.

Another notable characteristic of the AeroPress is its portability. Made from durable plastic, it is lightweight and compact, making it an excellent choice for travel, camping, or daily use at home or in the office. It fits easily into bags and backpacks, so coffee lovers can enjoy their favorite brews wherever they go.

The AeroPress also features a micro-filter system, which separates the grounds from the brewed coffee, ensuring a clean cup free from sediment. This system is adjustable, allowing users to choose between making espresso-like concentrates or regular coffee, tailoring the brew to suit their preference. Additionally, the AeroPress allows for easily adjustable brewing variables, giving users the freedom to explore different roasts and blends.

In conclusion, the Aerobie AeroPress Coffee and Espresso Maker stands out for its innovative design, ease of use, and capability to produce high-quality coffee and espresso. Its convenience, portability, and unique brewing method make it a standout appliance for coffee lovers everywhere. This device continues to inspire a dedicated community of enthusiasts who appreciate the craft of brewing and the art of coffee.
