Maintenance, repair, or replacement of the emission control devices and systems, which are being done at the customers expense, may be performed by any non-road engine repair establishment or individual. Warranty repairs must be performed by an authorized engine manufacturer's service outlet.

TO ADJUST THROTTLE CONTROL

CABLE

The throttle control has been preset at the factory and adjustment should not be

necessary. Check adjustment as de- scribed below before loosening cable. If

adjustment is necessary, proceed as follows:

1.With engine not running, move throttle control lever to fast position.

2.Check that swivel is against stop. If it is not, loosen cable clamp screw and

pull cable back until swivel is against stop. Tighten cable clamp screw securely.

TO ADJUST CHOKE CONTROL

The choke control has been preset at the factory and adjustment should not be necessary. Check adjustment as de- scribed below before loosening cable. If adjustment is necessary, proceed as follows:

1.With engine not running, move choke control (located on dash panel) to full choke position.

2.Loosen knob and remove cover assembly from air cleaner.

3.Choke should be closed. If it is not, loosen casing clamp screw and move choke cable until choke is completely closed. Tighten casing clamp screw securely.

TO ADJUST CARBURETOR

Your carburetor is not adjustable. If your engine does not operate properly due to

suspected carburetor problems, take your tractor to an authorized service center for

repair and/or adjustment.

High speed stop is factory adjusted. Do not adjust - damage may result.

IMPORTANT: Never tamper with the engine governor, which is factory set for proper engine speed. Overspeeding the engine above the factory high speed setting can be dangerous. If you think the

engine-governed high speed needs

adjusting, contact a Sears or other qualified service center,, which has proper equip- ment and experience to make any necessary adjustments.
