Do not operatethe unit while underthe influenceof alcoholor drugs.

Neverplaceyour handsor anypartof your bodyor clothingnear or underrotatingparts. Keepclear of the dischargeopeningat all times Neverinsertyour handsor anypart of your body or

clothing into the nozzle,chipperchute or dischargeopeningas the rotatingimpetlercan causeseriousinjury.

If it is necessaryfor any reasonto unclogthe feed intakeor dis- chargeopeningsor to inspector repairany part of the machine where a moving part can come in contact with your body or

clothing, stopthe machine+allowit to cool,disconnectthe spark plugwire fromthe sparkplugand moveit awayfrom the spark _1 plugbeforeattemptingto unclog,inspector repair.

Neveroperate unit without vacuum bag and discharge chute properly affixed to unit, Largezippered end of bag must be closedto preventobjectsfrom beingblownout.

Neveroperate unit without either the inlet nozzleor optional hoseattachmentproperlyaffixed to unit. Thesedevicesshield the operatorfrom accidentalcontactwith the rotating impeller. Neverattemptto convertthe unit from nozzleto hose mode or viceversawith the enginerunning.

Neverattemptto removeor emptyvacuum bagwhen engineis running. Shutthe engineoffandwaitfor the impellerto cometo a completestop beforeremovingthe bag. The impetlercontin- ues to rotate for a few seconds after the engine is shut off. Neverplaceany part of the body in the impellerareauntil you aresurethe impellerhas stoppedrotating.

Keepall guardsandsafetydevicesin placeandoperatingprop- erly.

Do not allow anaccumulationof processedmaterialto build up in the dischargeareaas this will preventproper dischargeand canresuttin kick-backfrom the chipperchute.

Keepyour faceandbody backfrom chipperchuteto avoid acci- dentalbouncebackof anymaterial.

If the cutting mechanismstrikes a foreign object or if your machineshould start making an unusual noise or vibration, immediatelystopthe engine,disconnectthe sparkplugwire and movethe wire awayfrom the sparkplug. Allow the machineto stopandtakethe followingsteps.

Inspectfor damage

Repairor replaceanydamagedparts.

Checkfor any loose partsand tighten to assure continued safeoperation.

Muffterand enginebecomehot and can causea burn. Do not touch.

Donot altowleavesor other debristo build up on engine'smuf- fler. Thedebriscould igniteandcauseafire.

Donot operateengineff air cleaneror coverover carburetorair- intake is removed, except for adjustment. Removal of such partscould createafire hazard.

11,CHILDREN

Tragicaccidentscan occur if the operatoris not alert to the pres- enceof smallchildren. Childrenareoftenattractedto the chipping and vacuumingactivity. Neverassumethat children will remain whereyou lastsawthem.
