Mow the lawn when the grass is relatively dry. Attempting to mow wet grass can result in an uneven cut.

Maintain a consistent walking pace while pushing the mower in straight passes.

Slightly overlap each pass to even the cut and avoid leaving uncut strips.

Mow the lawn regularly, at least once a week during the growing season. Mow more frequently than you would with a conventional rotary lawn mower.

Always mow with the blade height adjusted to cut no more than 1/3the total height of grass.

If the height of your lawn's grass exceeds four inches, adjust the blade height to its highest position before mowing. After mowing, readjust the blade to your preferred cutting height and mow the lawn a second time within the next one or two days.

You can use the grass catcher to collect clippings while you are operating the mower.

1.Attach grass catcher following instructions in the Assembly & Set-Up section. Grass clippings will automatically collect in catcher as you operate the mower. The faster you push the mower, the more effectively it will collect clippings. Operate the mower till grass catcher is full.

2.Remove the grass catcher's strap from the lower handle's crossbar and lift the grass catcher up and away from the mower to remove the bag. Dispose of the grass clippings and reinstall the bag when complete.

The MTD 3100 and MTD 3000 are notable models in the lawn and garden sector, specifically designed for homeowners seeking reliable performance in maintaining their outdoor spaces. These two models, although different in certain specifications, share a commitment to durability and efficiency, catering to a variety of landscaping needs.

The MTD 3100 is characterized by its robust 310cc engine, providing ample power for tackling various terrains and grass types. With a high cutting width of 42 inches, this model ensures that large areas can be mowed quickly, saving valuable time. It features adjustable cutting heights, allowing users to select the perfect length for their lawn, ensuring a healthy growth and an even appearance. Additionally, the 3100 incorporates an innovative mulching feature that enables the grass clippings to be finely chopped and returned to the ground, promoting lawn health by providing essential nutrients.

On the other hand, the MTD 3000 is equipped with a slightly smaller, yet efficient 300cc engine. Its lightweight design makes maneuvering around tighter spaces and obstacles easier. The MTD 3000 also includes an easy-to-use self-propulsion system, allowing users to glide effortlessly over their lawns, reducing the strain often associated with manual mowing.

Both models utilize advanced technologies aimed at enhancing user experience. They feature electric start options, which eliminates the hassle of manual starting and provides instant power. Ergonomically designed handles offer comfort during prolonged use, reducing fatigue and making these machines suitable for extended mowing sessions.

The MTD 3100 and 3000 also come outfitted with durable construction materials, ensuring longevity. Their easily accessible engines simplify routine maintenance, promoting a longer lifespan through proper care.
