O N S C R E E N D I S P L A Y INFOMATION

The on-screen display, which can be activated by the Main unit or remote, appears on the TV screen to show the current setting status of the SR5300.

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

When the OSD button ¤2is pressed, the current setting are displayed on the TV monitor.

This display disappears automatically in about 5 seconds after the button is pressed.

qVIDEO SOURCE:

Displays the current video source being selected with the function selector TV, DVD, VCR1, DSS or AUX.

wAUDIO SOURCE:

Displays the current audio source being selected with the function selector FM, AM, CD, TAPE, CD-R, TV, DVD, VCR1, DSS or AUX.

eDIGITAL INPUT:

Displays the digital input that you are using

DIG-1, DIG-2, DIG-3 or DIG-4.

rSURROUND MODE:

Displays the current surround mode

AUTO, DOLBY D, DOLBY D EX, PLII MOVIE, PLII MUSIC, PRO LOGIC, DTS, DTS ES, NEO6 CINEMA, NEO6 MUSIC, MULTI CH. ST, CS2 CINEMA, CS2 MUSIC, CS2 MONO, VIRTUAL, MOVIE, HALL, STADIUM, MATRIX, STEREO

Note:

Not all modes will be present depend on selected input.

tMASTER VOLUME

Displays the current volume level.

The volume level is higher at the right of the display.

Notes:

The On-Screen Display signals can be output from the TV MONI composite video (RCA) output and the TV MONI S- Video output jacks.

When you connect both the composite video and S-VIDEO, there will be no signal output from composite video jack.

With some video equipment or software, the On-Screen Display characters may be distorted due to noise or tracking adjustment error.

2. FUCTION SELECT & SURROUND MODE

When a function selector button or surround mode button is pressed VIDEO: Displays the current video source. When TV,DSS, DVD, VCR1 or AUX is selected with the function selector, both AUDIO and VIDEO shows the same

name.

AUDIO: Displays the current analog audio input source. DIGITAL: Displays the current digital input source.

SURR-MODE:Displays the current Surround mode.

3. MASTER VOLUME CONTROL

Displayed when the MASTER volume is varied or a button of the remote control unit is pressed.

4. MUTE

When the MUTE button !1/b is pressed, “MUTE ON” will be shown on screen.

Pressing MUTE button !1/b again will show “MUTE OFF” on screen, and return to the previous volume level.

5.SLEEP TIMER

When the SLEEP button o / ¤3is pressed, the setting on or off and the remaining time of the sleep timer function are displayed.

You can change the mode between on, off and the amount of time to elapse before the unit will shut itself off by cycling the SLEEP button o/¤3.
