5 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

5.4Shoulder and Waist Straps

The shoulder and waist straps are a positioning guide only. They are not designed for use as a safety device or as a restraint. The straps MUST be washed and disinfected after each use. Refer to Cleaning and Disinfecting on page 23.

Installation

On each end of the straps, insert the lead into the round portion of the slot in the attachment point, slide the lead up and turn it.

Use

1.Pass the right end of the shoulder strap under the right arm pit and across the chest Pass the left end of the shoulder strap under the left arm pit and around the resident. Secure the ends together with the plastic clasp.

2.Bring both ends of the waist strap around the resident. Secure the ends together with the plastic clasp.

3.Adjust the straps for comfort as necessary.
