OPERATION

STARTING THE ENGINE

See Figures 13 through 19.

WARNING:

Keep your body to the left of the chain line. Never straddle the saw or chain, or lean over past the chain line.

1.Place the chain saw on level ground and ensure that no objects or obstructions are in the immediate vicinity that could come in contact with the bar and chain.

2.Hold the front handle firmly with the left hand and put your right foot onto the base of the rear handle.

3.Set the Ignition Switch to the RUN (I) position.

4.Make sure the chain brake is in the RUN position by pulling back on the lever / hand guard. See Figure 15.

5.Fully press and release the PRIMER BULB 7 times.

6.Pull CHOKE lever all the way OUT to full position. The partial throttle position is automatically set when the choke lever is set at full choke.
