Note

Use a longer delay time setting when the surround speakers are closer to the listener than the front speakers.

A test tone will be automatically generated to help you judge the sound level of each speaker.

CD UPSAMPLING

Default setting: OFF

This feature allows you to convert your music CD to a higher sampling rate using sophisticated digital signal processing for better sound quality. If you have activated the upsampling function, the player will automatically switch to stereo mode.

OFF – Select this to disable CD upsampling.

88.2kHz (X2) – Select this to convert the sampling rate of CDs to twice that of the original.

176.4kHz (X4) – Select this to convert the sampling rate of CDs to four times that of the original.

Note

This setting is only valid for signals output from the analog jacks.

CD upsampling is switched to OFF, if AUDIO OUT is set to Vsurround and 5.1CH.

AUDIO OUT is switched to 2CH, if CD upsampling is set to 88.2 kHz or 176.4 kHz.

AUDIO DRC

Default setting: OFF

This mode optimizes playback of sound at low volume. High volume outputs will be softened and low volume outputs will be enhanced to an audible level. This feature is only applicable for DVD video discs with Dolby Digital mode.

ON – Turns on AUDIO DRC mode.

OFF – Turns off AUDIO DRC mode. Select this to enjoy the sound with its full dynamic range.

Note

Audio DRC is only effective with Dolby Digital Audio sources.
