Fixing problems

If you think your CD-Recorder is defective, it is wise to read this list first. Maybe you forgot a simple step.

Warning!

Under no circumstances should you attempt to repair the unit yourself as this will invalidate the guarantee.

No power

•ensure that the POWER ON/OFF (1) button is on: the CD-Recorder may be in standby mode, press any button to activate it

•ensure that the power cord is plugged in correctly

•switch the recorder OFF and then immediately back ON

Auto track does not work

•check if auto track is ON

•check if there are 2.7 seconds silence in between the tracks (analog recording only)

•check that the digital source conforms to the SPDIF (or IEC-958-II) standard

•source is a DVD video disc (DVD video discs do not con- tain track information)

•make sure analog source meet track marking criteria on page 22

No sound

•check the audio connections

•if using a amplifier or receiever, check that a signal is present using headphones or try a different amplification system

Amplified Sound is distorted

•check that the CD-Recorder analog output is not con- nected to a PHONE input.

•check that the disc is not defective by trying another disc

•ensure that the label of the CD is facing up
