INPUT AND OUTPUT

Balanced

CONNECTIONS

A symmetricalinput or output circuit that has equal impedancefrom

 

both input terminals to a commongroundreference point. Theindus-

 

try standardfor professionalandsoundrecordinginstallations, bal-

 

ancedconnections have 6 dB moregain than single-ended connec-

 

tions andallow the useof long interconnect cables. Balancedcon-

 

nections are completely immuneto inducednoise from the systemor

 

the environment.

 

Single-ended

 

A two-wireinput or output circuit. Usecare whenusing single-ended

 

connectionsas the groundconnectionis madelast andbrokenfirst.

 

Tumthe systemoff prior to makingor breaking single-endedconnec:

 

tions. Single-endedconnections are not recommendedfor connec-

 

tions requiring long cableruns.

OPERATION

Off

Operational Mode

 

Whenthe powerbutton on the front panel or pwr key on the remote

 

control is pressedand the blue powerLEDilluminates, the compo-

 

nent is in the operational modeandreadyto play music.
