Learn to use calling functions, such as making and answering calls, using options available during a call or customising and using call-related features.

You can use the buttons or the touch screen when you make, accept, end, or reject calls.

●● When you turn on the proximity sensor, your device automatically turns off and locks the touch screen to prevent accidental inputs when you hold the device near your face. ► p. 124

●● Static electricity discharged from your body or clothing may interfere with the proximity sensor during a call.

Make a call

1 In Menu mode, select Keypad and enter an area code and a phone number.

2 Select or press [] to dial the number.

For a video call, select .

3 To end the call, press [].

●● Use the phonebook to save numbers you dial frequently. ► p. 79

●● To quickly access the call log to redial numbers you dialled recently, press [].

●● Use the voice command feature to dial by voice.
