The information below is the suggested minimum requirements of hardware and operating system for SAMS Basic.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURES

Please follow the steps below to install the SAMS Basic.

1	Install the database server.	Install the database management system of your choice with the license, such as Microsoft SQL Server 2005
		Express Edition. If there is database management system already installed, you can utilize the installed system
		– you don’t need to reinstall it.
2	Restart the computer.	Once the database installation is completed, restart the computer.
3	Install the SAMS Basic database	Install the SAMS Basic database files that are used by the SAMS Basic application.

5	Install the SAMS Communication	Install the SAMS Communication Server Basic. This application program communicates with the controller.

6	Install the key-lock driver.	In case of demo version installation, you don’t need to install the key-lock device driver. For demo installation,
		user registration for the access control is limited to 10 persons. Key-lock driver must be installed for regular
		installations.
7	Install the SSA-X500 driver.	Installation is not required in case of you don’t use the fingerprint scanner. This enables with fingerprint
		recognition, fingerprint data storing and transfer to the SAMS Basic application program by using the fingerprint
		scanner.
