· Only allow users familiar with the sharpener’s operation to use the sharpener.
· Store the sharpener in a safe , dry place when not in use. Keep awa y from children.
TOOL USE AND CARE
· Do not force the tool. Tools do a better and safer job when used in the man ner for which they
are designed. Plan your w ork, and use the correct tool for the job.
· Never use a tool with a m alfunctioning switch. Any power too l that cannot be controlled with the
switch is dangerous and m ust be repaired by an authorized s ervice representative before using.
· Disconnect power from tool and place the switch in the locke d or off position before servicing,
adjusting, installing acces sories or attachments, or storing. Su ch preventive safety measures
reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
· Secure work with clamps or a vise instead of your hand to ho ld work when practical. This safety
precaution allows for prop er tool operation using both hands.
· Use only accessories th at are recommended by the manu facturer for your model.
Accessories that may be suitable for one tool may create a ris k of injury when used on another
tool.
· Keep guards in place an d in working order.
· Never leave tool running unattended.
· Never stop the grinding whe el with your hands, even after stopping the motor.
· Check that all pow er is disconnected when changing grin ding wheels, during maintenance, or
transporting.
· Never start the sha rpener without the wheel guard in plac e. The guard is supplied with the
accessories bag and must b e installed before operation. The guard ca n be removed only for wheel
replacement; then, it must be reinstalled.
· Check that the volt age and frequency indicated on the sh arpener correspond to supplied power.
· Never use higher r ated power supply, as this will damage the sharp ener.
· Never use defectiv e and/or non-standard cables, plugs o r extension cables.
· Remove power or cables immediately if cables show sign s of damaged or are cut.
· The power supply cables are complete with terminals. Ne ver use cables that are manipulated in any
way.
· Check the cable po sition during operation, making sure th at cables stay away from grinding wh eels
during operation. Never work near other electrical cables.
· Never advance the chain with-your-hands until the grindi ng wheel has moved entirely back to th e
upright position (non-cutting position).
· Before starting the grinder, always check that the grinding wheel is correctly installed and not
damaged.
· Before using the s harpener, check any safety, or other devices, are properl y working.
· Never use the sha rpener as a cutter or for grinding objec ts other than saw chains
· Never use near or expose sharpener to any explosive or flammable liquids or environment.
· Never start the sha rpener with hands or fingers touching or near wheel
· Never force the sh arpener or any tool while working, mai ntaining or sharpening.
