■France and Peru only:
This unit cannot be powered from IT† supp lies. If your supplies are of
IT type, this unit must be powered by 2 30V (2P+T) via an isolation
transformer ratio 1:1, with the seconda ry connection point labelled
Neutral, connected directly to earth (g round).

■U.K. only:
The Switch 3300 FX is covered by Oftel General Approval,
NS/G/12345/J/100003, for indirect co nnection to a public
telecommunications system. This can only be achieved using the
console port on the unit and an approv ed modem.
■Sockets for Redundant Power System (R PS):
Only connect an Advanced Redun dant Power System (3C16071) with
Type 2 Power Modules and Type 2 cables to the Redundant Po wer
System socket.
WARNING: RJ45 Ports. These are shielded RJ45 data sockets. They
cannot be used as telephone sockets. Only c onnect RJ45 data connectors
to these sockets.
Either shielded or unshielded data cables with shielded or unshielded
jacks can be connected to these da ta sockets.
WARNING: Fiber Optic ports – Optic al Safety
Never look at the transmit LED through a magnifying device while it is
powered on. Never look directly at the fiber TX port and fiber cable ends
when they are powered on.
