Wiring the System

Depending on distance, use twisted pair, 14-22 AWG audio cables when wiring the Wired Intercom System, components. Figure 7 shows an overview of the cable types and number of conductors required for each unit. Table 1 shows wire gauge required for different distances between components. We recommend installing a separate power supply transformer (3M part number 78-8095-0910-8), for each Station Selector located over 100 feet from the Communications Controller,

Note:

The RS 485 cable carries DC power for the Station Selectors, requiring a larger gauge wire.

2475, 2470 specifications

3M has long been recognized as a leader in innovative solutions across various industries, and the 3M 2470 and 2475 are prime examples of the company's commitment to quality and technological advancement. These products are specialized filters that provide exceptional filtration performance, particularly in environments where air quality is a concern.

The 3M 2470 filter is designed for use in respiratory protection systems, specifically in conjunction with a half or full-face respirator. Its primary function is to filter out particulates and certain aerosols, making it an essential tool for professionals working in industries such as construction, healthcare, and manufacturing. The filter boasts a lightweight yet durable design, ensuring comfort for long periods of wear. One of the standout features of the 3M 2470 is its advanced electrostatic filtering technology, which enhances its efficiency in trapping airborne particles while reducing breathing resistance. This technology not only improves the filter's performance but also contributes to increased user comfort.

The 3M 2475 filter, on the other hand, is a versatile option that combines particulate and gas vapor filtration. It is particularly beneficial for environments where both dust and chemical exposure are present. Like the 2470, the 2475 utilizes advanced filtration technology, incorporating cartridges that can effectively capture harmful gases, vapors, and particulate matter. This dual protection feature makes the 2475 filter an excellent choice for industries such as paint spraying, chemical processing, and in laboratories.

Both the 2470 and 2475 filters are designed with ease of use in mind. They can be effortlessly attached to compatible respirators and feature a low-profile design that minimizes obstruction during use. The filters' compatibility with numerous 3M respirator models ensures that professionals can easily integrate them into their existing safety gear.

In terms of characteristics, both models excel in delivering high levels of filtration efficiency, with the 2475 offering enhanced protection against specific gases. The filters are also designed to maintain a compact and lightweight profile, making them suitable for use in a variety of demanding environments. Furthermore, the materials used in these filters are both robust and resistant to wear, ensuring longevity and reliability in challenging conditions.

Overall, the 3M 2470 and 2475 filters exemplify the company's dedication to creating innovative and effective respiratory protection solutions. With their advanced technologies, user-friendly designs, and exceptional performance characteristics, these filters represent a crucial investment for professionals seeking to enhance their safety and health in the workplace.
