Windows NT 4.0 with GAM Server/GAM Client Installed

If you are running a system with Windows NT 4.0 with a Mylex controller and GAM Server and/or GAM Client is already installed, follow the directions below:

1.If GAM Server is installed, open Services, select Mylex Global Array Manager Server, and click the Stop button.

2.Open the Add/Remove Programs utility and uninstall GAM Server and/or GAM Client.

3.Install Microsoft Windows 2000 upgrade.

4.After the Windows 2000 upgrade, go to “Updating the Mylex Controller Driver” on page 4-16for driver update instructions.

Windows NT 4.0 with a Mylex Controller with MACDISK installed

If you are running a system with Windows NT 4.0 and MACDISK already installed, follow the directions below:

1.Open the “SCSI Adapters” Control Panel and remove the Mylex Accelerated Driver.

2.Upgrade your system to Windows 2000.

When Windows 2000 upgrade is finished, go to “Updating the Mylex Controller Driver” on page 4-16.
