Keyboard
The keyboard has full-sized keys and an embedded keypad, separate cursor keys, two Windows keys and
twelve function keys.

Special keys

Lock keys

The keyboard has three lock keys which you can toggle on and off.

Embedded numeric keypad

The embedded numeric keypad functions like a desktop numeric keypad. It is indicated by small characters
located on the upper right corner of the keycaps. To simplify the keyboard legend, cursor-control key symbols
are not printed on the keys.
Lock key Description
Caps Lock When Caps Lock is on, all alphabetic characters typed are in uppercase.
Num Lock (Fn-F11) When Num Lock is on, th e embedded keypad is i n numeric mode. The key s
function as a calculator (complete with the arithmetic operators +, -, *, and /). Use
this mode when you need to do a lot of numeric dat a entry. A better solution w ould
be to connect an external keypad.
Scroll Lock (Fn-F 12) When Scroll Lock is on, t he screen moves one line up or down when you pr ess the
up or down arrow keys r espectively. Scroll Lock d oes not work with some
applications.
Desired access Num lock on Num lock off
Number keys on embed ded
keypad Type numbers in a norm al manner.
Cursor-control keys o n embedded
keypad Hold Shift while using cursor-control keys. Hold Fn while using cursor-c ontrol
keys.
Main keyboard keys Hold Fn while typing letters on embed ded
keypad. Type the letters in a normal manner.
