Problem
The
aspi2dos
ASPI manager is installed. The system will not boot
from the SCSI hard disk drive, and the
aspi2dos
logo does not
appear on the screen.
Action
1Make sure that
aspi2dos.sys
is in the root directory of the boot
drive.
2Make sure that your
config.sys
file contains this line:
device=aspi2dos.sys /d
Additional command line options are required for AHA-1510A
host adapter boards. See the EZ-SCSI User ’s Manual for details.
Problem
General difficulties using a SCSI drive as drive D w ith a standard
hard disk as drive C.
Action
1Make sure that hard disk 1 (D) is set to Not Installed or No
Drive Installed with your CMOS Setup program.
2Make sure that the SCSI drive you want to use as drive D is set
to SCSI ID 0:0. Check your drive manual for information on
setting the SCSI ID for that device.
3Make sure that SCSI parity is consistently enabled or disabled
on all devices on the SCSI bus.
4Make sure that SCSI termination is set correctly on the host
adapter and the peripherals.
5If your system is running under DOS, make sure that the disk
has a DOS partition and a DOS format.
