Adaptec Ultra Wireless PCI Adapter User’s Guide

To successfully install your Wireless PCI Adapter, complete each of these tasks, in order:

❏If you are unfamiliar with wireless technology or LANs, read About Wireless Technology and LANs on page 43 for a basic overview.

❏Install the Wireless PCI Adapter. See page 5.

❏Install the device driver for your computer’s operating system. See page 7.

❏Install the Adaptec Wireless Utility. See page 18.

❏Disable Zero Configuration (Windows XP users only). See page 22.

❏Install the network protocols. See page 24.

❏Connect to the WLAN. See page 28.

Basic installation takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.
