Pleaseread the followinginformation before installing or
operating your APCPower DistributionUnit (PDU ):
•This
PDU is intended for indoor use only.
• Donot install this PDU where excessive moisture or
heatis present.
• Neverinstall any wiring, equipment, or PDUsduringa
lightning storm.
•Plugthis
PDU into at hree-wire,grounded p oweroutlet
only.The power outlet must be connected to appropriate
branchcircuit/mains protection (fuse or circuit breaker).
Connectionto any other type of power outlet may result
ina shock hazard.
• Useonly the supplied brackets for mounting.
• Donot use extension cords and adapters with this PDU.
• Donot work alone under hazardous conditions.
• Checkthat the power cord, plug, and socket are in good
condition.
• Toreduce the risk of electric shock when grounding
cannotbe verified, d isconnect the PDU from the power
outlet before installing or connecting equipment.
Reconnectto the power outlet only after all connections
aremade.
• Pluggableequipment includes a protective earth
connectorwhich carries the leakage current from the
load devices (computerequipment). Do not exceed a
total leakagecurrent of 3.5 mA.
