4 Maintaining Your Printer

It doesn’t take much effort to keep your Color StyleWriter 2500 printer in good working condition. You simply have to replace the ink tanks when they run out of ink and clean the printer or print head if you notice a problem. (And occasionally, you should replace a worn-out ink cartridge.)

Replacing ink tanks in the four-color ink cartridge

The four-color ink cartridge contains two separate ink tanks, one for black ink and one for cyan, magenta, and yellow inks. This means that when you run out of black ink, you don’t have to replace both tanks. (Most people use more black ink than any other color.)

WARNING Use only ink designed for use with the Color StyleWriter 2500 and 2400. The wrong ink can damage the print head and the printer, and such damage is not covered under the warranty.
