Connecting to a LocalTalk network

To connect your server to a LocalTalk network, you will need LocalTalk cables and a LocalTalk adapter. The Apple LocalTalk Locking Connector Kit DIN-8, available from your Apple-authorized dealer, contains the components you need to connect the server to an existing LocalTalk network by means of the printer port.

To connect the server to a LocalTalk network:

1Make sure that the server is turned off.

2Attach the LocalTalk adapter to the printer port.

3Plug one end of a LocalTalk cable into the LocalTalk adapter.

4Plug the other end of the cable into the last LocalTalk adapter on the network.
