This motherboard supports the latest AM2+ CPUs with better overclocking capabilities and less power consumption. It provides extremely high performances and shortened data access time by supporting 2000 / 1600 MT/s HyperTransport Bus,
AM2+ CPU socket is backward compatible with AM2 CPU socket, but the AM2 processors work at AM2 platform, and AM2+ processors work at AM2+ platform.
