DIMM Installation

Insert the modules as shown. Because the number of pins are different on either side of the breaks, the modules will only fit in the orientation as shown. SIMM modules have the same pin contacts on both sides. DIMM modules are longer and have different pin contacts on each side and therefore have a higher pin density.

Use only 3.3-volt unbuffered DIMMs. The notch in the DIMM module will shift between left, center, or right to identify the type and also to prevent the wrong type of DIMM from being inserted into the DIMM socket (see illustration below). Four clock signals are supported on this motherboard. Ask your retailer for the specifications before purchasing memory modules.
