3.6.3PCH Storage Configuration

While entering Setup, the BIOS automatically detects the presence of SATA devices. The SATA Port items show Not Present if no SATA device is installed to the corresponding SATA port.

SATAEXPRESS_1 SRIS Support [Auto]

When set to [Auto], this item allows the system to automatically adjust the SRIS (Separate Reference Clock Independent Spread Spectrum Clocking Architecture) support for connected SATA Express devices. Set this item to [Disabled] to activate ASUS RUNWAY SATA Express bridge card

S.M.A.R.T. Status Check [On]

S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) is a monitoring system that shows a warning message during POST (Power-on Self Test) when an error occurs in the hard disks.
