1. Brig ht S pots .
A bright spot is a small, non-uniform, bright area that may flicker
or app ear c ons tan t (Fi gur e 5- 3).
Not all brigh t spots ma ke the ATN PS-15 reje ctable. C up your
hand over the le nses to block out all light. If the bright spot
remains, ret urn the ATN PS-15. B right spo ts usually go away
when the light is blo cked out. Make su re any bright spot is not
simply a bright area in the scene you are viewing. Bright spots
are accep table i f they do not inte rfere w ith the a bility t o
view the outside scene.
2. Emi ssi on Po int s.
A stead y or f luctua ting p inpoin t of b right light in th e imag e
area and does not go a way when all light i s blocked from th e
objective lenses of the gogg les (Figu re 5-3) . The pos ition of
an emissi on point within t he imag e area do es not mov e. Not all
