Thread the friction washers, metal washers and mounting nuts to the valve shanks.

Tighten the mounting nuts by hand. Tighten the tensioning screws.

Install the spout, slide bushing and o-ring. Make sure that the slide bushing is oriented correctly.

Tighten the set screw.

Lightly coat the handle o-rings with the en- closed lubricant.

Install the index caps on the hot and cold handles and pull rod assembly.

16510XX1 only: Install the pop-up drain.

Caution: the hot water riser may be hot!
