Designed and built in Boulder, Colorado, the C-5xe epitomizes the synergy between artful engineering and pure music reproduction.

One of the standout features of the C-5xe is its sophisticated digital-to-analog conversion capability. Utilizing Ayre's proprietary technologies, the C-5xe employs a custom-designed DAC that provides a rich and nuanced audio experience. It supports playback from various digital sources, including CD, DVD, and even high-resolution formats, ensuring that it meets the listening needs of audiophiles who demand versatility.

The C-5xe is equipped with Ayre's renowned "AyreLock" technology, which addresses jitter in digital audio signals. In addition to its digital prowess, the C-5xe pays special attention to analog playback as well. It features an exceptional CD transport mechanism, designed to minimize vibrations and enhance stability. This transport system reduces the mechanical noise that can often plague standard CD players, delivering a clean and unobstructed path for the audio signal.

Another defining characteristic of the C-5xe is its build quality. The chassis is crafted from high-quality materials that not only contribute to its sleek aesthetic but also aid in preventing resonance that can interfere with audio performance. The robust power supply further enhances performance, providing clean and consistent power to the critical components of the player.

User-friendly features, such as comprehensive connectivity options, including balanced XLR and single-ended RCA outputs, make the C-5xe highly adaptable to various audio setups. Moreover, its ergonomic remote control allows users to navigate through their music library seamlessly.
