B-CONTROL FADER BCF2000/B-CONTROL ROTARY BCR2000

Panic Reset:

This function resets the most important MIDI data to their factory settings.

sPress EDIT and keep it pressed.

sNow press EXIT. The reset is performed as soon as you press EXIT. “PAnC” (for “Panic”) appears in the display.

sAs soon as the reset is over, your B-CONTROL goes automatically into the play mode, and the current preset is shown in the display.

Data Request:

Current value settings of the MIDI device connected to your B-CONTROL can be transmitted to your B-CONTROL using the data request function (provided that the MIDI device supports this function, and a request command was defined using the editor software). In this case, the MIDI device doesn’t send data; the B-CONTROL requests them instead.

sPress the LEARN key while the EDIT key is kept pressed. The request takes place, and the B-CONTROL indicates the controller values of the receiving MIDI device on the LED ring or through fader positions.

Snapshot Send:

A Snapshot Send lets you send all current controller values in order to transmit the B-CONTROL settings to the connected MIDI device.

sPress the “ PRESET” key while the EDIT key is kept pressed. The B-CONTROL now sends the current controller settings.

Single Preset Dump:

In addition to the SysEx Dump function in the global setup menu, the following key combination lets you send all settings of the current presets:

sPress the “PRESET ” key while the EDIT key is kept pressed.

sIf you want to cancel the dump, press the EXIT key.

+Snapshot Send and Single Preset Dump differ in the kind of data that is being sent: With Snapshot Send, only current control values are transmitted in order to synchronize them with the connected MIDI device. With Single Preset Dump, the entire contents of the current preset including the current control assignments are sent. With this function, you can easily archive certain presets, or swap them with other B-CONTROL users.

Motor Off Function (BCF2000):

The BCF2000 fader motors can be temporarily disengaged. To do that, one or several fader(s) is/are assigned a key that disengages the fader’s motor for the duration of the keystroke.

All 20 programmable keys ( and ) are available.

sPress the EDIT key and keep it pressed.

sMove the fader(s) whose motors you wish to disengage.

sPress the key to which you want to assign the motor-off function.

sExit with EXIT.

+The MIDI command assigned to a key remains preserved. This way, that MIDI function can be used simultaneously with the fader motor being disengaged when the key is pressed.

BCR2000 specifications

The Behringer BCR2000 is a versatile and innovative MIDI controller designed for musicians, producers, and DJs seeking to enhance their creative workflow. Launched as part of Behringer's line of MIDI controllers, the BCR2000 stands out for its robust features, flexibility, and affordability, making it an excellent choice for both beginners and seasoned professionals.

One of the main features of the BCR2000 is its 32 encoders, which offer smooth and precise control over various parameters in music production and live performance. These encoders are continuous rotary knobs that can be assigned to different functions, providing real-time manipulation of MIDI-controlled devices, virtual instruments, and digital audio workstations (DAWs). The encoders are also equipped with LED rings that illuminate to reflect their current values, allowing users to visualize changes instantly.

The BCR2000 boasts an advanced MIDI implementation, allowing it to send and receive MIDI messages seamlessly. This capability makes it compatible with a wide range of software and hardware, including synthesizers, drum machines, and lighting systems. Users can assign MIDI messages to any of the encoders, buttons, and faders, creating custom mapping that suits their unique workflows.

In addition to its full-sized knobs, the BCR2000 features eight faders, which are particularly useful for mixing tasks. These 60mm faders allow users to adjust levels and parameters with precision, providing an intuitive mixing experience. The BCR2000 also includes 16 programmable buttons, which can be assigned to different functions, such as triggering samples or switching between different patches.

Another notable technological feature of the BCR2000 is its ability to operate in different modes, such as MIDI CC (Control Change) mode and MMC (MIDI Machine Control) mode. This flexibility makes it suitable for a variety of applications, from studio production to live performances. The device also includes a USB interface, allowing for easy connectivity with computers and other devices without the need for additional power supplies.

The BCR2000 is constructed with durability in mind, featuring a sturdy chassis that can withstand the rigors of regular use. Its compact form factor makes it easy to integrate into any setup, whether in a studio or on stage.
