Introduction

Have you ever noticed your lights dim or flicker when you turn on your dishwasher or air-conditioning? This common occurrence is attributed to an under-voltage of power, also know as a BROWNOUT.

A Brownout is a period of insufficient power-line voltage. It is the most common power problem, accounting for 80% of all power disturbances.

Effects: A brownout can deprive a computer of the power it needs to function, causing unwanted damage to your computer, such as frozen keyboards and hard drive crashes. Such problems will cause you to incur computer repairs, lost data and downtime.

Solution: A Belkin Line-Interactive Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR). Typical “Stand-by” UPS units do not have AVR to increase the output voltage or decrease the output voltage to your computer. A surge protector can only protect your computer from over voltages due to irregular power. Belkin Line-Interactive UPS units protect against surges, spikes, brownouts and blackouts!

Only a Belkin Line-Interactive UPS with AVR can give your computer clean and consistent power at all times.

Note: There is no guarantee that interference to radio/TV will not occur in a particular installation. If this UPS causes interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the UPS power off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of following measures:

Connect the equipment to an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.

Increase the separation between the equipment and the receiver.

Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.

Safety

CAUTION!

To reduce the risk of electric shock, disconnect the UPS from the main power supply before installing a computer interface signal cable. Reconnect the power cord only after signaling interconnections have been made.

The internal energy source (the battery) cannot be de-energized by the user. The output may be energized when the unit is not connected to a main power supply, thus a shock hazard may be present.

CAUTION: (RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK) -

HAZARDOUS LIVE PARTS INSIDE THIS UNIT ARE ENERGIZED FROM THE BATTERY SUPPLY EVEN WHEN THE INPUT AC POWER IS NOT CONNECTED.

CAUTION: (RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK) -

DO NOT REMOVE COVER. NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE, PLEASE REFER SERVICING TO QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONNEL.

WARNING:

TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ONLY REPLACE THE FUSE WITH THE SAME TYPE AND RATING.

The Belkin F6C series, including the F6C425, F6C625, F6C325, and F6C525 models, represents a line of high-quality surge protectors designed to safeguard electronic devices against voltage spikes and surges. Each model in this series combines advanced technology with user-friendly features, making them ideal for both home and office use.

One of the standout features of the Belkin F6C series is its ability to protect against power surges. Each model is equipped with a high-capacity surge suppression technology that can absorb excess voltage and prevent damage to connected devices. This is particularly important in areas that experience frequent electrical storms or fluctuations in power supply.

The F6C series also offers multiple outlets, allowing users to connect several devices simultaneously. For instance, the F6C625 features an impressive 12 outlets, while the F6C525 and F6C425 provide 8 and 6 outlets respectively. This is particularly useful for powering up an array of gadgets, such as computers, printers, and gaming consoles, all from a single source. The F6C325, with its 4 outlets, is tailored for more compact setups.

In addition to surge protection, the Belkin F6C series incorporates safety features such as LED indicators that show protection status and alert users when the device is functioning properly. Some models, like the F6C625, include not only surge protection but also a built-in circuit breaker to prevent overloads. These safety mechanisms are crucial for ensuring long-term protection of valuable electronics.

Another key characteristic of the F6C series is its cord management capabilities. Each model is designed with a durable, long power cord that provides flexibility in placement without compromising safety. The cord is typically 6 to 12 feet long, giving users the ability to position the surge protector conveniently near their devices.

Furthermore, Belkin’s commitment to quality is evident in the construction of the F6C series. Each unit features a slim design that makes it suitable for use in tight spaces, such as behind furniture or office equipment. The robust housing is built to withstand daily use while also providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

In summary, the Belkin F6C425, F6C625, F6C325, and F6C525 surge protectors offer a combination of advanced surge protection technology, multiple outlet configurations, essential safety features, and a user-friendly design. These characteristics make them an excellent choice for individuals seeking reliable protection for their electronic devices in both residential and commercial settings.
