Switching on
j Switch on 1 to the front.
j Press the On / Off switch 4.
The starting lock 1 prevents your branch cutter
from being switched on unintentionally.
Switching off
j Release the On / Off switch 4.

QCutting branches
J Switch on the device and guide it on
to the branch that you intend to cut.
Always cut in such a way that the guiding edge 10
is resting on the branch (see Fig. B).
QChanging the saw blade
Change the saw blade 7 as soon as its toothing
becomes blunt.
j
Unscrew the screw

using a Phillips screw driver.
j Lift off the saw blade cover 9.
j Remove the saw blade 7.
j Remove any sawing debris.
j Make sure that the markings showing the direc-
tion of rotation on the new saw blade 7
and on the saw blade cover 9 point in the
same direction (see Figs. C+D).
j Screw the saw blade cover 9 back on to the
device using the screw 6.

ing when the tool is switched off and the battery

is disconnected from the mains power.
QMaintenance
j Always charge the integrated rechargeable
battery completely at the beginning and the
end of any lengthy period of non-use
(for instance in spring and summer).
QCleaning
j Clean off any dirt or debris (e.g. sawdust,
chippings or plant residues) from the device.
j Thoroughly clean the saw blade 7.
j Use a dry cloth to clean the outside of the
device - never use petrol, solvents or cleaners.
Q Disposal
The packaging is wholly composed of en-
vironmentally-friendly materials that can be
disposed of at a local recycling centre.
Do not dispose of elect rical pow-
er tools with the hou sehold rub-
bish!
In accordance with European Directive
2002 / 96 / EC (covering waste electrical and elec-
tronic equipment) and its transposition into national
legislation, worn out electrical power tools must be
collected separately and taken for environmentally
compatible recycling.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for
more details of how to dispose of your worn out
electrical devices.
