8.Close the MP3/Digital Music Player Compartment cover door.
Note: MP3/Digital Music Player and USB charging cables are not included.
If you want to recharge the MP3/Digital Music Player while it is playing, plug the device’s USB charging cable into the
USB Power Port inside the MP3/Digital Music Player Compartment and press the USB Charging Port ON/OFF
Pushbutton to turn the USB Ports ON.
USING THE 120 VOLT AC POWER SUPPLY
The unit comes with:
1.AC Power ON/OFF Pushbutton — Press pushbutton to turn the AC Power Supply ON and OFF.
2.Dual 120 Volt AC Power Outlets.
3.AC Power Supply Status Indicator LEDs — both green and red light when AC outlet is turned on and ready to
use; red light only indicates the inverter is overloaded or faulted.
4.AC Power Electrical Fault Circuit Interruptor— two three-prong outlets for 110/120 volt AC appliances which
shut down inverter if leakage or ground fault current is detected.
5.Internal protective circuits including:
• Overload and over-temperature shutdown (activated if AC output exceeds 100 watts or the unit overheats)
• AC short-circuit shutdown
• Low voltage shutdown (shuts down inverter when internal battery voltage is too low)

AC Power Supply Controls, Indicators and Operation

The illustration in the previous section details the AC Power Supply Panel. The AC Power ON/OFF Switch turns the
AC power circuitry ON and OFF. It can also be used to reset AC power after shutdown due to overvoltage,
overload or over-temperature condition. Both Status Indicator LEDs light when AC power supply is available.
1.Press the AC Power ON/OFF Pushbutton to turn the AC Power Supply ON (both Status Indicator LEDs light).
2.Plug in appliance (rated up to 100 watts) and operate as usual.
Make sure the 120 Volt AC Power Supply is turned OFF when the unit is being recharged or stored.
The standard North American 120 volt AC outlets and USB ports allow simultaneous operation of multiple
devices. Simply plug the equipment into the unit’s AC outlets and operate normally.

Ensure that the wattage of all

equipment simultaneously plugged into the unit’s 120 Volt AC Outlets does not exceed 100 watts continuous.

Notes: The AC power supply shuts down automatically when the battery voltage level is too low. If only the red Status Indicator
LED lights, a fault condition such as an overload, overheating or short circuiting has occurred. Turn the AC Power
Supply OFF and unplug the appliance. Wait a few minutes, then turn power back ON.
This unit’s 120 volt AC outlets will not operate appliances and equipment that generate heat, such as hair dryers, electric
blankets, microwave ovens and toasters.
USING THE USB CHARGING PORTS
One of the USB Charging Ports and the ON/OFF Pushbutton are located on the Unit Front Panel. The second USB
Charging Port is located inside the MP3/Digital Music Player Compartment. Refer to the illustrations in the
“Controls and Features” and “Using the MP3/Digital Music Player Compartment/Cable Plug” sections to locate.
Note:The USB Charging Port ON/OFF Pushbutton on the Unit Front Panel controls both USB charging ports.
1.Press the USB Charging Port ON/OFF Pushbutton to turn the USB Ports ON. The red USB Power LED will
light.
2.Access the USB Charging Ports (one on the front of the unit; the second is located inside the MP3/Digital
Music Player Compartment).
3.Plug the USB-powered device into one of the USB Power Ports and operate normally.
4.Press the ON/OFF Pushbutton again to turn the USB Charging Port OFF when you are finished.
Make sure the USB Charging Port ON/OFF Pushbutton is in the OFF position when the unit is being recharged or
stored.
Notes: This unit’s USB Charging Ports do NOT support data communication. They only provide 5 volts/500 mA DC maximum
power (total) to an external USB-powered device.
To conserve battery power, ALWAYS turn the USB Charging Port OFF when not in use.
USING THE DUAL AREA LIGHTS
Each Area Light is controlled by an ON/OFF pushbutton (located above the respective light). Make sure the Area
Lights are turned OFF when the unit is being recharged or stored.
