Troubleshooting

PROBLEM	CONDITION	CAUSE
		• Amplifier not plugged in.
	Status LED is off.	• AC outlet dead.
		• Power switch off.
		• Breaker (power switch) tripped.
		- Turn off, then turn back on.
NO SOUND	Status LED is green.	• Level controls turned down.
		• No signal from source.
	Signal LED is off.
		• Input module jumpers in wrong bus configuration (if available).
	Status LED is green.	• 70V mono connections on amplifier incorrect.
	Signal LED is green.	• Poor/broken speaker wiring.
	Clip/Limit LED is off.	• Defective speakers.
DISTORTED	Status LED is green.	• Input signal level too high.
	Signal LED is green.	• Poor speaker connections.
SOUND
	Clip/Limit LED is off.	• Lo-cut switch set to Flat (70V mono system only).
POOR	Status LED is green.	• Lo-cut switch setting.
LOW-FREQ.
	Signal LED is green.	• Speaker wiring phasing.
RESPONSE
	Clip/Limit LED is off.	• Module bass control setting (if available).
(NO BASS)
		• DC level at signal input.
INTERMITTENT	Status LED is red/green cycling.	• Load impedance too low.
OPERATION		• Amplifier speaker output is short-circuited.
		• Amplifier too hot (check for proper ventilation clearances).
		• Poor electrical connections at input.
		• Input cable routed near AC cables, power transformer, or
		other EMI radiating devices.
NOISE/HUM	Status LED is green.	• Electrically noisy devices operating on the same AC circuit.
	Signal LED is green.	• Poor equipment grounding.
		- Ensure that all AC safety grounds are connected.
		- Make sure that all components in audio chain are tied to the
		same ground.
