Loading the Dishwasher

a) Check the Materials section of this manual if you are unsure about an item’s dishwasher suitability.
b) Load only
c) Load items so that water can reach every part of every item.
d) Place pots, pans, cups, bowls, and glasses
e) Separate items of dissimilar metals.

2. Loading the Top Rack
a) Figures 1, 2 and 3 show a typical mixed load in the top rack.

NOTE: When pushing the top rack into the dishwasher, push it until it stops against the back of the tub. Otherwise, the top rack spray arm may not connect to the water supply.
b) When the top rack is loaded, push it into the dishwasher.
- Top Rack Only™ Cycle
This cycle allows you to save energy, water, and detergent by washing loads small enough to fill only the upper rack.
NOTE: The Top Rack Only™ cycle does not reduce wash time.
To use the Top Rack Only™ cycle,
a) Load the top rack.
b) Press the On/Off button.
c) Press the button for the desired wash cycle.
d) Press the Top Rack Only button.

b) When the bottom rack is loaded, push it into the dishwasher.
4. Loading Extra Tall Items
If an item is too tall to be placed into
the bottom rack even with the top rack in the raised position,
a) Remove the empty top rack by pulling it out of the dishwasher until it stops rolling.
